Falmouth to St Mawes

Yesterday we caught the ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes…. The Duchess of Cornwall, (no great beauty, but built to go the distance! ).ferry2

The crossing was a bit rough.. like the Duchess;  OK enough of that but the views were good. ferry1

We walked to St Just, so called because it is very small and only ‘just’  a village, whereas St Mawes is bigger and there is ‘more’ of it.

I met up with another Herring gull.ferry4

and took some pictures of sea weed… I know how to have fun.ferry3

After a really good lunch of Cod and chips with mushy peas and a pint of Cornwall beer we walked back down to the quay and the ferry boat was just coming in, so it was the end of a perfect day…. ferry5

Incidentally I tried several Cornish beers and they were all excellent, no doubt they do produce some that are so so but the ones I had were very fine.
