Rook (Corvus frugilegus)

When it’s Crows it’s Rooks and when it’s a Rook it’s a Crow.

So goes the old adage, however this one was a solitary Rook, he was hanging about around a pic-nic area at Slimbridge yesterday hopping to be fed. He did have a Jackdaw and a Black-headed Gull for company but no other Rooks. rook
